Jet Learning Laboratory is committed to providing a supportive environment that enables students to achieve their academic goals in mathematics and science. JLL’s is also committed to preparing students to reach their career and college level goals. In this area, students, parents and schools enlist JLL for its academic training in the area of entrance and exit exam preparation (e.g. TAKS, SAT, NET, ASVAB).
For over five years, Jet Learning Laboratory has sustained it’s commitment to the community, even during perilous times. Please take some time to read what a parent shared about JLL during the aftermath of Hurricane IKE in 2008.

Dear Dr. Rube Williams & Mr. Reuel Williams,
As our family looks back at this current school year, we wanted to thank each of you, Ms. Megan and the rest of the Jet Learning Laboratory staff for your dedication, diligence and support of our daughter while she attended tutoring at JLL. With your help she achieved the test scores necessary to accept a Division I basketball scholarship.

strengths while also broadening her skills in other areas proved to be the correct approach. As you recognized, she is one of many “bright” students who struggles with standardized tests. Because of your diligence, her confidence with taking standardized tests has improved.continue
In addition, we appreciated your willingness to be flexible with her schedule. With academics clearly our priority, JLL's scheduling worked well with her daily and weekend practices and as well as twice a week games. It was also very much appreciated (and somewhat amazing) that you opened the Jet Lab Kirby office the two weeks following Hurricane IKE. During this time, most other Houston area schools and tutoring centers were closed. Because of your dedication she was able to continue with tutoring sessions and make progress on schedule before the upcoming exam.
Finally, it was nice to see other students, ranging from very young through high school ages, as they quietly and respectfully came into the center. Each young person appeared focused, committed and ready to learn. The center environment was disciplined but not too strict. Some of the parents even waited in the lobby while their child attended tutoring as a way of showing their support. Most parents seemed to have an interesting story about the challenges they were facing; whether it was their child's lack progress at school or wanting for their child to accelerate academically. Some talked about rush hour traffic at the end of a long workday or about the challenges of juggling time or family finances so their child could attend tutoring. Regardless of the challenges it seemed that each one was there to make sure their child had the opportunity to be academically successful.
Because of your efforts and the results achieved, we thank you and wish you continued success with Jet Learning Laboratory! We have and will continue to recommend Jet Learning Laboratory to our friends.

Thank you so much for all your help along with your staff.
I was unsure at first as to how Jet Learning Lab would help my daughter but I must say that you all have really impressed me. My daughter came to Jet after a hard 4th grade year. She had passed all of her classes but failed to pass TAKS reading and math. She had to go to summer school for the first time and was very disappointed. She did ok in summer school by passing the reading part of TAKS but once again she did not pass the math part. I was extremely worried about her 5th grade year so I started looking around for extra help and found Jet Learning Lab.
I went in and met Dr. Williams. I felt, right away, very comfortable in the atmosphere of the learning center. I was told to bring my daughter in for an assessment, so I did. After the assessment, my daughter started her tutoring sessions and made leaps and bounds. The JLL team was great and truly caring. If my daughter did not come to JLL on the day that she was scheduled, they called to find out where she was. Now, after putting in all of the hours, despite wanting to do other things with her time , I'm happy to say that my daughter passed her reading and math this year. Gentlemen I cannot begin to express our thankfulness, for your kindness
and generosity. You are not only teaching in the critical areas of math and the sciences. Especially to our young African American kids showing them they can be brilliant, in something other than basketball or rapping. But you are teaching in the even more critical areas of thoughtfulness, kindness, and helpfulness.
My son is thankful and I am profoundly grateful. I hope and pray that in years to come as he matures he will also be profoundly grateful. And hopefully put himself in a position to return to help someone, who may be in a similar position someday. Gentlemen thank you again.-- E.N.,1/15/09

Jet Learning Laboratory has helped me with my math and science TAKS Test, they taught me all the basics of math and science all over again. They made sure I understood it. If I didn't get ninety or higher, I had to do it over again. I had to learn the simple things like fractions, balancing equations, and proportion everything that I was not taught in school. Jet Learning Laboratory is a fun and a successful outcome for me because I passed my math and science TAKS Test. I would recommend Jet Learning Laboratory to anyone for the SAT or ACT anyone trying to pass or prepare for any type of college math or science or even TAKS Test. It's a fun learning experience that you will enjoy. The teachers are great. They are patient and willing to help you get better at anything that you are trying to achieve. As a parent, if the child does not pass the test the first time even the second time, the child can return to Jet Learning Laboratory until they successfully pass all their exams without any extra charge or out of pocket expense. -- A.M.

A Note of Thanks-
Please accept my genuine and deepest thanks for your assistance with my Statistics Course during the 2008 Fall Semester. The clarification and enlightenment of the subject was simply awesome! You and your knowledgeable staff thoroughly prepared me to excel in class.
After my weekly sessions at Jet Learning Laboratory, I was thoroughly prepared to face the monumental challenges that at first seemed enormous. As a result of my homework assignments as well as my ability to express myself through knowledge in class, I was exempt from the final. Subsequently, I easily passed the course with an “A.” My classmates, who were impressed with my understanding, often requested my assistance.
The Jet Learning Laboratory staff was extremely professional and the atmosphere was exceptionally inviting. As a result of appreciation, I will be delighted to refer others, because your expertise is superb! Lastly, I will forever cherish this unparallel experience. -- E.B.

When my counselor called the entire senior class to his office and lined us up I was very nervous. I knew I passed at least one of my exit level TAKS Test, math or science, but I was hoping both. But you know you can get nervous and unsure? That's how I was feeling. It was scary sitting there waiting and not knowing. He told me I passed science but that I had to give the math another shot. I was disappointed, but it was better than nothing. Coming to Jet really helped me a lot. And even though there were about a handful of kids in class with me, I still felt like I was getting hands on, one-on-one tutoring. In school we really only have 2 or 3 teachers who actually break down the instruction and give us what we need. I'm glad I came to Jet. It helped me. I have a better understanding plus I actually like science now. -- C.L.

Tutoring Services
My daughter and I went to Jet Learning Laboratory as she struggled in Algebra I, and on the verge of failing her first semester. The school district in which we live offers after school tutoring in math, but the benefits are not noticeable. Because she did not begin attending Jet Learning Laboratory until late November, the timing also worked against her. However, the staff worked diligently with her and she passed her Algebra I class. My only regret is that I did not enroll her sooner. -- M.D.L.

I want to take the time to thank you and your staff for helping my daughter with her math. When my daughter and I came in for her initial assessment, it was discovered that she had not mastered Algebra which is why she could not grasp Geometry. Her math teacher said before she began tutoring, she didn't participate in class. Also her grades are now improving. I know that it is not easy dealing with teenagers but your staff has done a great job, and my daughter looks forward to her tutoring sessions. Thank you for what you are doing to help our children.

Awesome Job… I would like to commend Jet Learning Laboratory for a job well done. My intial visit was one of desperation I had exhausted all means. Now here I am with a high school Senior who was so desperately trying to succeed to college. At that time my daughter's expressions towards math and science were not favorable. Although, she was excited about being a senior and destined to go to college she had not passed all of the TAKS Test.
Upon the introductory visits and research through JLL website, I immediately found a program that wasn't financially challenging, very accommodating, compelled to help with the educational success of my daughter and furthermore, guaranteeing a passing TAKS score of course with my daughter's compliance.
I want to commend JLL for giving my daughter her enthusiasm back. She passed the TAKS test with exemplary status which means she doesn't have to take the THEA math test for college.
Jet Learning Laboratory was superb; I would recommend anyone who is interested in their child's achievement to give JLL the opportunity to make a difference in your child's life. The reward is outstanding and awe-inspiring for me as a parent.
Thanks to Mr. Williams and the Staff, your kindheartedness will never be forgotten and most of all I thank you for the life long experience which you have given my daughter. The smile on her face is worth every dollar and if I had to do it all over again, I would. I give you my faith blessing that God will bless your family and staff with much prosperity and success. In talking with my son, he has been very positive about his tutoring sessions and has told me more than once that it is all starting to make sense to him. In as much as I would like to completely take his word for it I am in high hopes that your organization has a definite manner to evaluate his performance and comprehension of the math based on his actual work and not just telling me and/or you that he is "getting it." Based on what I can see(his accomplishments), after this total 40 hour session, I would be very interested in possibly continuing these tutoring session during his regular school year and would like to talk to you about that possibility.
